Bloons Tower Defense
A Bloons-inspired browser game built with TypeScript and HTML5 Canvas: 20 rounds, six tower types, layered enemies, upgrades, and targeting priorities.
Playable browser game01 / The project
Behind the work.
This tower-defense project implements a complete browser game loop without a game engine or runtime dependencies. Players place and upgrade towers, manage cash and lives, and defend against 20 rounds of enemies with different layers and damage immunities. The code separates simulation, path geometry, entity definitions, wave configuration, and rendering, with Vite handling development and production bundling.
Position. Range. Timing.
Choose a tower and move the target.
A simplified range illustration, not a simulation of the game’s balance or combat rules.
03 / The build
Details that matter.
Implemented six tower types with upgrades and four targeting priorities, plus layered enemies with distinct damage immunities.
Separated simulation, geometry, wave data, and rendering into focused modules without a game engine.
Added pause, speed controls, placement constraints, and a 20-round progression ending in a boss wave.
